Online wireless locking components

With online wireless-capable locking components, you can manage access rights flexibly and centrally. New locking components can be easily integrated, even in locations without a power supply or where wiring would be complex.
The air version of the new Opendor product line features real-time access decisions and the use of a smartphone or an RFID medium with LEGIC® or MIFARE® technology for identification.

More and more companies today are turning to wireless-capable access control systems, replacing traditional mechanical locking systems. Managing and controlling access is more convenient and user-friendly with wireless-enabled locking components. In the event of a lost key, there are no costs for replacing the entire locking system. Facility managers and security personnel gain more control over who has access, where and when. Authorizations can easily be granted or revoked. This clearly supports their work, as corporate security is ultimately about protecting buildings or premises from unauthorized access – as effectively as possible. Centrally managed access rights make this especially easy with components from the Opendor product line.

Opendor air: Real-Time Access Control

With our centrally managed Opendor product line, you manage access decisions in real time. Opendor enables all doors to be integrated into an overall security concept – without wiring or major structural changes. The wireless, battery-powered locking components are online-capable. Opendor air is available as the IF-241 Door Fitting, IF-261 Cabinet Lock, IF-271 Door Handle, and IF-281 Cylinder. The IF-4041 Gateway connects the locking components to the IF-6040 access control system. In addition to the wireless air variant, there is also the Opendor card (NetworkOnCard) version.

With Opendor, you save time: the locking components can be installed without wiring. Thanks to batteries with a lifespan of up to 12 years, they require minimal maintenance. Firmware updates for the air variant can be installed automatically “over-the-air.”

Special features include authorization lists that allow doors to open autonomously even during a system failure. A self-learning list in the locking component stores the last 1,000 access attempts and allows those users to continue accessing the building in case of a system outage. Optionally, authorization lists – for example for employees or external personnel such as fire services – can be distributed to the devices via gateways from the IF-6040 system. This allows locking components to remain permanently accessible to authorized persons.

As part of a three-stage security concept, data from the IF-6040 system can be transferred to and stored on the gateway. This ensures that data remains current even if the connection to the access control system is interrupted. Should the gateway or connection to the locking components fail, each locking unit will independently manage access control thanks to its own stored authorization list. This ensures that doors remain accessible even during a network outage.

One Gateway for Up to 50 Doors

Opendor air locking components are centrally managed by the IF-6040 system. It transmits all data to the IF-4041 Gateway, which then forwards it to the end devices via Bluetooth® Low Energy. One gateway in a building can manage up to 50 locking components over a distance of up to 50 meters – depending on the building materials. The IF-4041 offers maximum security, verifies all access events, and transmits the data in real time to the access control system.
